HISTORIC FIRST POLE POSITION ON HOME WATER FOR E1 TEAM MONACO

Monaco, 17th July 2026 – E1 Team Monaco secured its first-ever pole position on home waters at the fourth round of the UIM E1 World Championship, in only its fourth race since making its championship debut in Jeddah earlier this year.

In front of a home crowd, pilots Oban Duncan and Maxime Nocher delivered an outstanding qualifying performance, topping the timesheets to claim pole position for Saturday's races and three valuable championship points. The result moves E1 Team Monaco up to 6th place in the overall standings, underlining the team's rapid progress in its debut season.

Oban Duncan — E1 Team Monaco, pilot

“It was a fantastic day. We showed great pace, and the whole team has worked incredibly hard to get us to this point. From Jeddah to Monaco, we've made huge progress, and today's pole position reflects all the work that has gone into improving every event. It's a great achievement, but our focus is already on tomorrow. Racing will be challenging, and the conditions are expected to be tough. We'll keep pushing and continue building on this momentum.”

Maxime Nocher — E1 Team Monaco, pilot and co-owner

“It was a very positive day for the team. We started by setting the fastest time in the opening session, followed by a third place before finishing first in the final two qualifying sessions. Every time we went out, we pushed the RaceBird to its limits to produce the fastest possible lap. We're extremely proud of what the whole team has achieved today.”

“Tomorrow's conditions are expected to be much tougher, with rougher water. We'll need to stay flying on the foils, minimise the impacts on the boat and fight until the very end. We're proud to have secured this pole position in Monaco and for Monaco. The E1 Fan Zone is free, so we encourage everyone to come and support us.”
