E1 TEAM MONACO SETS SIGHTS ON E1 CHAMPIONSHIP ANGOLAN DEBUT IN LUANDA ON 12–13 SEPTEMBER 2026

Wednesday, 9 September 2026 — E1 Team Monaco heads to Luanda, Angola, for Round 5 of the 2026 UIM E1 World Championship presented by PIF, as the E1 Championship makes its first-ever appearance on African waters on 12–13 September.
Following a historic first pole position at the E1 Team Monaco home race in Monaco, pilots Oban Duncan and Maxime Nocher return to the water targeting championship points with three rounds remaining.

E1 CHAMPIONSHIP MAKES ANGOLAN DEBUT
The Luanda race marks the first-ever UIM E1 World Championship presented by PIF event in Angola.The E1 Championship will take place on a new racecourse in Luanda Bay, presenting all teams with the same challenge of adapting to an entirely new water and racecourse conditions.

Sunday 13 September: Final races — Starting at 11:30 Local Time (GMT +1)
E1 TEAM MONACO PILOTS SPEAK AHEAD OF E1 LUANDA GP 2026
Oban DUNCAN — E1 Team Monaco, female pilot:
“I think the main challenge in Luanda will be the water conditions. It's a mix of salt and fresh water, so I think that might be tricky for the foils. But we're going to give it our absolute all, and we'll adapt to whatever comes our way. So we're really pleased and excited for the weekend.. I'm really looking forward to discovering Luanda and Angola. It’s somewhere I’ve never been before, so it’s exciting to race somewhere different and experience the culture.”
Maxime NOCHER — E1 Team Monaco, male pilot & co-owner:
“We are pleased with the performances we were able to get out of our RaceBird*, thanks to the right set-up found during the Monaco race. The race will take a place on a closed waters, and all teams will start on an equal footing, as it will be a first for everyone. We can’t wait to be back racing”
E1 TEAM MONACO 9TH IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP
E1 Team Monaco arrives in Angola after a strong but challenging home round in Monaco on 17–18 July. Duncan and Nocher secured the team's first-ever pole position, with Nocher also setting the fastest lap of the event. The weekend brought the team to 44 points and 9th place in the UIM E1 World Championship presented by PIF.
