E1 TEAM MONACO SETS COURSE TO DUBROVNIK FOR THE THIRD RACE OF THE 2026 E1 SEASON

E1 TEAM MONACO SETS COURSE TO DUBROVNIK FOR THE THIRD RACE OF THE 2026 E1 SEASON

Monaco, 3rd June 2026  — Following two highly instructive opening rounds, E1 Team Monaco is heading to the stunning city of Dubrovnik for the third race of the UIM E1 World Championship presented by PIF, taking place on 12 and 13 June. E1 is the world’s first and all-electric raceboat series.

A MONEGASQUE TEAM AT THE HEART OF THE ELECTRIC REVOLUTION
E1 Team Monaco is the first-ever Monegasque team to compete in the UIM E1 World Championship, a trailblazing competition in the world of sustainable maritime mobility. Born from the ambition to push technological and environmental boundaries, the team proudly carries the colours of the Principality on waters around the globe.

The team embodies the Principality’s commitment to excellence, innovation and ocean protection, under the patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and in partnership with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and Peace and Sport.

A new entrant to the UIM E1 World Championship for the 2026 season, E1 Team Monaco is part of a global movement to accelerate the transition to clean energy in water sports.

Each team fields one female and one male pilot, competing on equal terms with identical machinery — the E1 RaceBird, the world-first all electric raceboat. This revolutionary single-seater combines 100% electric propulsion with hydrofoil technology: by lifting above the water’s surface, it dramatically reduces hydrodynamic drag while minimising its impact on marine and coastal ecosystems.

A COMPLEMENTARY DUO READY TO FIGHT AT ROUND 3 IN DUBROVNIK
Oban DUNCAN and Maxime NOCHER form a complementary duo under the colours of the Principality. Oban Duncan, one of the most experienced pilots on the circuit, and Maxime Nocher, eleven-time kitesurf world champion, share the same ambition: to take E1 Team Monaco to the top.

Currently ranked 7th after climbing two places at Lake Como, the team is now preparing for the third round of the season in the idyllic setting of Dubrovnik, , before a stage in Monaco on July 17 and 18.

THE PILOTS SPEAK

Oban DUNCAN — E1 Team Monaco, female pilot

“Dubrovnik is a difficult track — twistier than the other rounds we’ve raced so far. But the venue is outstanding; it’s one of the most beautiful places to race. Every team struggles there because of how technical the track is. I’m really looking forward to being back.”

Maxime NOCHER — E1 Team Monaco, co-owner & male Pilot

“Our objective in Dubrovnik is to move up the standings. We have the potential to establish ourselves in the middle of the pack by mid-season and then continue climbing from there. We gathered a lot of data in Como and we are working hard to fix the issues we encountered.”

REVIEW OF THE FIRST TWO CHAMPIONSHIP ROUNDS

1st E1 2026 race — Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
In its first-ever world championship appearance, E1 Team Monaco reached an important milestone in its development. Although the team did not qualify for the final, this opening round provided valuable experience against a particularly competitive field. The lessons learned from this first event, combined with extensive performance analysis, enabled the team to refine its processes and optimise its preparation for the races ahead.

2nd E1 2026 race — Lake Como, Italy
The second round marked a significant step forward. Both pilots brilliantly secured 3rd place in qualifying, reflecting the progress made. In the finals, Maxime Nocher got off to an excellent start, but a technical incident — a collision with a foil on the right side causing a loss of power — forced the team to manage those constraints and ultimately finish 6th in the round.

That result, along with valuable championship points, nonetheless allowed E1 Team Monaco to climb two places in the overall standings to reach 7th position — a significant boost ahead of the Dubrovnik round.

DUBROVNIK, 12 & 13 JUNE: A NEW OPPORTUNITY
Building on the lessons learned from the first two rounds, E1 Team Monaco approaches this third event off the Croatian coast with ambition and determination. The schedule is as follows:
Friday 12 June — Qualifying sessions
Saturday 13 June — Finals

HOW TO FOLLOW THE RACES
The races are broadcast in numerous countries. In France and Monaco, live coverage is available on TV Monaco and simultaneously on YouTube.
