E1 TEAM MONACO GEARS UP FOR ITS HOME RACE ON 17–18 JULY 2026

Monaco, 9th July 2026 — E1 Team Monaco is preparing to race in front of its home crowd for Round 4 of the 2026 UIM E1 World Championship presented by PIF, taking place on the waters off the Principality on 17 and 18 July 2026. Currently sitting 7th in the championship standings after a strong fifth-place in Dubrovnik, pilots Oban Duncan and Maxime Nocher will be looking to convert home advantage into the team's first podium of the season.
A RACE ROOTED IN MONACO'S MARITIME HERITAGE
Monaco's relationship with powerboat racing spans more than a century. In 1904, Prince Albert I, known as the "Navigator Prince", supported the inaugural International Motorboat Meeting organised by the Société des Bains de Mer, establishing Monaco as one of the world's leading destinations for marine sport.
More than 120 years later, E1 Team Monaco continues that pioneering legacy. Racing the all-electric E1 RaceBird under the patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and supported by the Prince Albert II Foundation, the team returns to the very waters where Monaco's powerboat racing story first began—combining the Principality's rich maritime heritage with the future of sustainable marine motorsport.
FAN ACTIVATION IN THE HEART OF MONACO
Ahead of and during the E1 Monaco 2026 race weekend, E1 Team Monaco is inviting fans to experience the excitement of electric powerboat racing through a series of activations across the Principality, bringing supporters closer to the team, its pilots and partners in the days leading up to the final race.
E1 Team Monaco has put together a full programme of activities:

7TH IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP, FRESH OFF A FIFTH PLACE IN DUBROVNIK
E1 Team Monaco arrives in Monaco with genuine momentum. At Round 3 in Dubrovnik on 12–13 June, Oban Duncan produced an outstanding start to run as high as third place before a technical setback, denied the team what could have been its first podium of the season. The team nonetheless secured a fifth-place finish in the final, taking the team to 7th place in the overall championship standings with 33 points, its best points haul of the season so far.
Championship Standings: 7th place with 33 points

THE PILOTS ON THEIR HOME RACE
Oban DUNCAN — E1 Team Monaco, female pilot:
"The whole team is really excited to come to Monaco, this is our home race. We are apprehensive because it's our home race — we want to do as well as we can, but we're really excited. The circuit is really special for me, because it was my first ever podium in E1 last season, and it's such an historic place to race. Everyone who's raced in motorsport wants to race here, it's such a special environment, and to be able to race there, especially with E1 Team Monaco, makes it even better. We want a podium for our home race, we want to win, we want to do the best we can — we were robbed of a podium in Dubrovnik because of boat issues. And hopefully in Monaco we want to do the best we can."
Maxime NOCHER — E1 Team Monaco, male pilot & co-owner
"This is it — this is our home race. There is no race like your home race, and I am beyond thrilled to be racing on it for the first time on our E1 RaceBird — it will be a unique sensation. Here the water is choppy, so driver skill becomes really important. We were right on the podium in Dubrovnik before facing a technical issue, but we learned from that lesson, and the pace we've shown since gives us real confidence going into Monaco. Racing here, in front of our supporters, is a huge source of motivation for the whole team. We want to achieve something in Monaco — this is our home race, we want to deliver and put on a show! So wave your flag and come and meet us at the fan zone and at the paddock!"
